Thank you for the comments. I have seen the anonymous "information" that has been scurrying about the the community and I have reviewed half of the Fact Finder's results and glanced at the rest. I would have been disappointed if the school board had accepted this document wholesale. It seems to me to be foolish to have a requirement to vote it up or down. Most everyone complains about federal legislation having pork barrel spending that results from an all or nothing process, but suddenly people want that same process when they see something in it for them.

Take the Fact Finder's input for what it is: an outside opinion, which may or may not be biased, and use it to move the process forward. It is my hope that the teacher's association will realize that they have a constituency of only themselves, but that the school board has the teachers and the community to whom they are responsible.

Greetings, Mr. Fisher
Thank you for meeting the communication problem head on and responding to the FACTS for our community to know the real story. It can be awkward when perceptions do not reflect the underlying restraints and regulations that the board must consider before pronouncing any determination. To volunteer your time and energy to the benefit of our community is in and of itself an honorable if not challenging proposition. It does however indicate a support, a dedication and even a love that can not be denied.
Thank you for your patience with any and all misguided constituents who are also showing their passion for this district and its children. You do walk in their shoes and know that reactions are based on the available resources- which may or may not always be reliable.
It is the calm and understanding communication between the board and the community/teachers that can result in reasonable findings and a combined effort to move forward.
Thank you for "weathering the storm" in a professional, concerned but dedicated-to-the-welfare of our youth manner.
May God bless you and the whole board as well as the teachers and, of course, our students in the decisions to be made.

It is my understanding that in fact finding no party gets to choose a fact finder. That is why it is neutral.

So both the parties obtain an unbiased solution to an unresolved issue.
