Where Love Meets Celebration
Hey, we’re Olivia and Carly—partners in life and the duo behind Pride & Promise. We created this business because the wedding industry still has a long way to go when it comes to inclusivity. Too many queer couples face outdated traditions, gendered expectations, and even flat-out rejection when planning their big day. We are here to change that.
How It Started
For Olivia, everything begins with words. She’s been a writer and poet for over a decade, a former AP English teacher, and an officiant who’s been telling love stories through unforgettable ceremonies for years—whether in the South, the Pacific Northwest, or even Italy! Officiating started as a favor for friends and family, but after being asked again and again, she realized it was more than a skill—it was a calling.
Carly, on the other hand, has always been the one behind the scenes, making magic happen. She’s the go-to person for immaculate vibes, party planning, bachelorettes, and getaways. Similar to Olivia, she started this as a favor for friends & family, but after being inspired by “Olivia Officiates”, she felt called to offer more resources to the community as well! She’s got a knack for curating experiences that feel effortless yet unforgettable. Every celebration is as special as the love it honors.
Why We Do This
We both grew up in the South—Olivia from Louisiana, Carly from Texas—so we know firsthand what it’s like to be gay in places that don’t always celebrate you. We’ve seen the obstacles LGBTQIA+ couples face when planning weddings, from navigating awkward conversations to finding affirming vendors who actually get it. That’s why we launched Pride & Promise—to make sure every queer couple gets the wedding experience they deserve, without compromise.
We are committed to our community. This is our way of fighting against anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation - offering inclusive & accessible resources to the people who need them most.
What We Offer
We specialize in personalized wedding ceremonies and unforgettable bach parties, blending Olivia’s storytelling expertise with Carly’s planning magic. Whether you need a queer officiant who crafts a speech as unique as your love, or a stress-free, perfectly curated bach experience—we’ve got you. We primarily serve the South and the Pacific Northwest (because those are our homes), but we’ll happily travel wherever love takes us.
This is just the beginning for us, but we’ve been doing the work for years—officiating, planning, and making sure queer love gets the celebration it deserves. And now, we’re ready to do the same for you.
